Lainate, May 2019 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today is proud to present its new controller and gateway, the XAP 1.0.
The XAP10RSEXX is a compact, IIoT-ready (Industrial Internet of Things) controller and gateway for seamless connection of multiple and diverse devices and sub-systems. Providing Internet connectivity and web-serving capability, the XAP 1.0 provides integrated control and supervision.
Compatible with the standard CODESYS V3 and the Wizard configuration software (the same one used to program the BTM display family), it streams data and rich graphical displays to a standard Web browser via Ethernet or remotely over the Internet.
This controller integrates the standard IEC 61131 PLC (Codesys), so that any building automation function, and specifically HVAC ones, can be programmed by means of a standard and well-known tool. It is empowered by a configurable web interface which makes it an outstanding web HMI, which can be easily programmed with graphic pages, functions and protocols.

Developed by our competence centre in Italy, the XAP 1.0 is designed to deliver a complete solution in building automation from BMS down to field devices: XAP 1.0 is at the management level, UWP 3.0 at the automation level and our Dupline® and Modbus devices at the field level.

SBBADT8CCT: THE NEW DALI BALLAST FOR STANDARD AND TUNABLE WHITE LEDS

Lainate, March 2019 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new DALI ballast module.
The SBBADT8CCT is a DALI driver for standard and tunable white LED’s. Used to control warm and cool white temperature output via a single DALI address, providing high power factor and efficiency. Creating the perfect lighting conditions for a variety of applications such as offices, schools, retail spaces and healthcare environments.
In combination with the DALI master SB2DALIT8230 and the comprehensive solution of the UWP3.0 platform, we can now provide a complete DALI lighting control solution for various lighting applications.
“Thanks to its adjustable current setting from 250 mA to 1500 mA via DIP switches, it makes it the ideal module as it is compatible with various LED lights,” Raffaella Sirena, International Product Manager, says. “With this launch it is our intention to further strengthen Carlo Gavazzi’s presence in the Building Automation market segment, particularly in lighting control, where the newly updated version of the DALI protocol is getting more and more popular to meet the energy efficiency targets.”
